Built by people who lived the work, then rebuilt it.

We are building the tool we wish we had. Built to verify what deserves trust, and to flag what doesn't.

WindShift was built by an operator who spent nearly 20 years inside the diligence engine. He watched the same workflows get rebuilt by hand on every deal, the same institutional knowledge walk out the door with every team rotation, the same analyst hours stack up on work that should have been automated a decade ago.

Founder

Nik Dulac

Founder & CEO

Nik spent 25 years in aerospace & defense, with nearly 20 years focused on M&A. Over 400 engagements, partner at Oliver Wyman, advising major PE firms across the sector.

His work spans commercial, business, and military aviation; defense electronics; shipbuilding and sustainment; engines; aerostructures; space; satellite communications; distribution; and airport services. If it sits somewhere in the A&D value chain, he probably diligenced it.

He has a PhD in aerospace systems engineering from MIT and previously worked at BCG, Strategy&, and CSP Associates.

He started WindShift after a decade of watching the same workflows get rebuilt by hand on every deal.

The platform began in the messiest part of diligence: complex documents, shifting deal questions, and outputs that still had to survive partner review. The goal is simple - replace the labor around investment judgment, not the judgment itself.

Nik remains active in aerospace M&A advisory through a senior advisor position with old colleagues at Arnovia and can be reached at ndulac@arnovia.com

Arnovia

What we believe about the next decade of investment diligence.

The funds and advisors that ship structured, defensible deliverables fastest will close more deals, win more mandates, and price competitors out.

Key principles

  • Speed will compound. Faster structured execution becomes a durable advantage.
  • Knowledge has to compound too. Firms that lose institutional memory fall behind.
  • AI will not replace investment judgment. It will replace the labor around it.
  • Off-the-shelf AI will not survive IC. Diligence-grade beats chatbot-grade.
  • Execution layer is the differentiator. Ingestion, research, structure, and output must connect.
  • Outputs must remain native. PPTX, DOCX, and XLSX stay editable, cited, and traceable.
  • Work with your own tools. Meet users in Office and the workflows they know.
  • Security is architecture. Segmentation belongs in the database, not only in policy.

Production today

  • Document Intelligence: Vision-enabled processing for CIMs, VDRs, contracts, and filings
  • Agentic Research: Multi-source synthesis with verifier and citation-assignment stages
  • Workflow Canvas: Custom drag-and-drop workflows for diligence and reporting
  • Daily Utilities: Document sharing, messaging, and transcriptions
  • Collaboration Layer: Projects, collections, folders, permissions, and audit trails
  • Studio Output: Board-ready PPTX, DOCX, and XLSX rendered natively
  • Knowledge Graph: Workspace-scoped institutional memory with domain ontologies
  • Office Connectors: Microsoft 365 add-in live across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

We started in aerospace. We are designed to expand.

WindShift originated as a platform for aerospace M&A diligence. The platform proved out across one of the most regulatory-heavy, technically complex, and supply-chain-fragmented sectors in the global economy.

The architecture - workspace-scoped knowledge graph, modular ontologies, multi-format rendering - was designed to expand. New industries require domain datasets and agent training. They do not require platform rebuilds.

See it work.

Bring a real workstream. A live diligence question, a prior IC deck, a market scan you keep redoing. We'll run it on the call.
